This event is the largest girl’s tournament in the country. We typically have about 250-300 teams and 200 colleges represented by 400 college coaches attend. The USA Invitational is the finest exposure event that you can attend with 30 indoor courts all in ONE LOCATION to accommodate you during this event. Spooky Nook is Basketball HEAVEN!


It sells out each year so do not delay in registering.


NCAA REQUIREMENTS:


All teams must be registered on NCAA in order to be eligible to play. Your coaches and assistant coaches must be NCAA certified.


NCAA will soon list the summer events on their website. Coaches must register their team roster on the NCAA website and check off they are attending Blue Chip USA Invitational event and must HIT SAVE at the bottom of the page. See NCAA Links under Main Menu for info on completing NCAA requirements.

You must enter your roster on the Blue Chip site also – which is the one used in the college coach books. Be sure to use the same username and password used when registering on the Blue Chip site to enter your roster, or we will not see it.



AAU COACH and ASSISTANT COACH CHECK-IN: July 5th starting at 10:00am -1:00pm.


Only NCAA certified coaches will receive coaches’ bands at check in.

You MUST show your license - NO EXCUSES - if you left it in the car/hotel you will have to go back and get it. If you have just received your NCAA approval number you will also need to bring your email from the NCAA with the approval number on it.


PLAYER CHECK IN:

Players may check-in just one hour before their first game. Players will then receive a lanyard which they must wear in order to enter or exit the courts.



ADMISSIONS:

July 5th starting at 10:00am to 1:00pm.


Approximate Game Schedule

July 5: 2:30 pm - 9:45 pm, 1 Game

July 6: 8:00 am - 9:45 pm, 2 Games

July 7: 8:00 am - 9:45 pm, 2 Games

July 8: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 1 Game


Team will be put in brackets of 64 according to age and ability, there will be a trophy awarded for the winner of each bracket and there will be a cross over game for the grand champions.



Tournament Requests:



$50 Charge for 1st day time requests - if made 14 Days before the start of the event.

Request must be made 14 days prior to the event or at the time of application and payment by HEAD COACH ONLY. Email to info@bluechipbasketball.com and include name of team and contact phone number.

NO request will be taken 13 days before the event begins for any reason.

No special scheduling for coaching two or more teams. You must have another certified coach available.

All teams must be prepared to play the first game slot of the event.

Also, no time requests on last day, unless flights are involved, and you must tell us 14 days before the start of the event.

Once the schedule is up, there will be no changes, unless it is our mistake. If a change is made at your request it will be a $100 fee.

Please note: Allowing for scheduling requests is not fair to the other teams that do not make requests. And every game change request can affect eight other teams.



HOTELS:


All Blue Chip events are STAY-TO-PLAY. All hotel arrangements must be secured exclusively through Apex Events. Please do not contact the hotels directly. All teams must book through Apex Events to be compliant with Blue Chip’s tournament hotel policy and avoid a $250 penalty per team. It is your responsibility to be aware of the hotels time line for rooming lists with credit cards and the individual hotels cancelation policy.


Teams not willing to use the Blue Chip hotels should not sign up.


Please note: This event is in the Lancaster Area, which is rural, with highways to get you back and forth to your hotels quickly.
